Data Ingestion

Centaur® Data Platform’s data ingestion capability is a crucial component of the platform designed to seamlessly process healthcare data for further analysis and utilization. Through the utilization of standardized data formats and interoperability standards, this module enables the Health Plan to fully utilize the data for enhanced member care, clinical decision-making, and operational effectiveness.

Supported Source Data Formats

Centaur ® Data Platform has built-in connectors to connect to the source data systems via SFTP, SQL, FHIR/REST APIs etc. The platform can ingest data in various file formats like CCDA, HL7™, X12, CSV, JSON, XML, SQL database, and others.

Seamless Data Ingestion Process

Centaur® Data Platform seamlessly integrates healthcare data from diverse sources, and it handles a variety of file types, ensuring compatibility with different data formats commonly found in the healthcare industry. Centaur® Data Platform ingests healthcare data into the storage account's converter container. Upon upload, a process is triggered, commencing with the conversion of files from source formats to various FHIR resource files in JSON format. The conversion process is followed by curation and FHIR ingest procedures, all orchestrated through Service Bus and Queue mechanisms.

This insertion/update process ensures that the modified healthcare data is successfully incorporated into the FHIR server and has a valid FHIR resource by finishing the source-to-destination trip. Centaur® Data Platform manages and integrates data from several sources into a cohesive and interoperable healthcare environment.
